Such A Waste: Good-Bye, Whitney -
The entertainment world lost another bright star this past weekend. The passing of Whitney Houston is yet another tragic end for another very talented performer who couldn’t control their personal demons. Recently that list includes Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Ryan Dunn… Can anyone say Marilyn Monroe? Exactly. This is not a new phenomenon. Sometimes we forget that these extremely talented and hard-working people (no one gets to the pinnacle of any profession without a lot of hard work) can be, and often are, very troubled.
While the rest of us work just as hard, and certainly have our own troubles, famous people’s deaths make headlines. Whoever it is, celebrity or not, it’s still a damn shame.
Good-bye, Whitney.
